Last monday, Ahmadinejad was officially confirmed. second term in Office, by Khamenei.
The quite ceremony, heavily guarded by a great number of security forces, was conducted in the absence of any celebratory formalities. It was attended by the Supreme Leder, Ahmadinmejad and only a few intimate allies. Prominent figues, and former Presidents, who custoarily take part in such rituals,had ostensibly not attended.
The location of the event was not publicly announced prior to the day on which it was to take place- which was last Monday.
The ceremony should officially finalize the plot of the election coup.
Inspite of the great number of alarmed security forces in the city, a great number of the population went to the street to chant their protest aginst the certification of the rigged election.
At the same time as above confirmation event was being prepared, the preparatory work for a show trial was underway to go on stage soon.
About 100 detainees, among them former prominent reformist political figures, were actors to the regime. They had been arrested 50 days earlier ,soon after the election, kept in detention since and forced to deliver testimony – during the show-trials . They were to “confess” what had been plottedd,aginst Ahmadinejad, by his election rivals, the other candidates, and their allies .
The detainees had been heavily tortured. Some of those imprisoned, protester, had not survived the deadly procedures. They had died in prisons.
Families of the detainees were denied information about their beloved ones.,in the whole period. In case of deads, days later, some families were called to collect the corps of their children or other relatives that were kep in remote and unknown morgues. Out of fear that the rage of the population would lead to new riots and reactions, victims families were denied traditional burial and mourning ceremonies.
Betrayed and angry Iranians, already being traumatuized beyond fear, went on, holding demonstrations and chanting parols loudly- even last Monday.
We are here today, to address all this issues, which is kept “secret” by an exercised media black-out- except for the official media.
We are here to join in with millions of other iranian compatiots and non-iranian-allies and express our empathy and solidarity with people in Iran.:
We are here to call against the confirmation, by the Supreme Leader of Ahmadinejad as Iran’s President, aginst the fake Inauguration, by the Majis, the Parliament, of a fradulent president. Sanother 4 years for our country.
We call on the Austrian government , and the Austrian Parlament not to acknowledge the Coup- government of ahmadinejad.
We will continue our public protests as long as required, until our demans are positively responded to.
They are:
Immediate Release of those who have been detained and kept in prisons , in the lpast few weeks.
Immediate release of all political and civil society activists, all persons who have expressed critical views about the election fraud and been arrested.
An end to physical-mental torture of the detainees to obtain “confessions”.
Immediate cessation of show-trials.
Letting families receive the corps of their precious lost members Not stopping their decent burial cermonies and mourning rituals.
We demand the immediate identification, arrest and trial of those violent actors, who have excerted violence and brutality on innocent, unarmed and peaceful demonstrators.
We call for new, free and democratic elections -without any delay.
